Twilight of the gurus, Schumpeter, The Economist, 25th April 2015

The rise of emerging markets led to a host of Indian
gurus, of whom CK Prahalad is the best known.
There have not, so far been any from China.
We do wonder about the composition of the list which
is comprised by voting on the Thinkers 50 website. Clayton Christensen was the number one
thinker in 2013 and 2011. For our money Constantinos Markides, of London Business School, is a better thinker on innovation and he
does not appear on either the 2013 or 2011 lists at all.
The organisation who compiles this list every 2
years is based in the USA so there may be an American bias.
We would be interested for readers of the blog to share their views of the most interesting business thinkers.
